weekend fun and iphones

Jared and I caught the Christmas spirit during our Carol of Lights weekend and treated the kids to an afternoon at Holland Gardens picking out Christmas ornaments for the year and visiting Santa. Yes, that was the best picture...jeez it is hard to get 5 kids looking at you at the same time.

We also treated them to a movie, in the theater. That is a BIG deal at our house because it has happened, counting Saturday, once. We saw Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa. If you ask the kids what movie they saw you will get that entire title. It was fun to have that experience as a family.

As the day was winding to a close, I asked Eric what his favorite part of the trip was. I'm expecting accolades for allowing him to go to the Carol of Lights, visit Santa, get a Christmas ornament, or watch a movie...in a theater no less. His answer:

"Playing on Uncle Brent's iphone. The car racing game is SOOO COOL!"

Nice, we could have done that for free!

I Gotta New...

Sister-in-law!!!

Brent proposed to Tamara in New York yesterday...romantic, I know.

I'm so excited for them. Tamara is easy to talk with, witty, beautiful and was Ms. Peanut Festival with a real tiara (Tara was VERY impressed by this). What more can you ask for in an in-law? Well, she does seem to make Brent very, very happy. They were practically glowing the last time I saw them. You can see the glow in the picture!

Kyra's blessing

Thanks to everyone who came. We loved having you here. I did a pathetic job at picture taking so if any of you want to send me some of your pictures that would be great. Here are a few I managed to snap.

Jared with most of the kids. I was locating Amy.

Finally a family picture with all of us!

I'm going to have to redress Kyra in her blessing gown and get one of her. You think that picture would have been taken, but nope.
