Amy Rides on Two Wheels

Every Saturday Jared spends some one on one time with one of the kids. It isn't anything fancy, just some errand running or project completion. But, it does give the kids some special alone time with their favorite person, and Jared gets to reconnect with them and find out what it is that is important to them.

Last weekend was Amy's turn and she requested that Daddy teach her to ride her bike without training wheels.

The coaching

The push-off

And there she went

That girl always knows what she wants and when she is ready for it. It only took 3 minutes before she was riding the entire street just like her siblings. I'm especially fond of the fact that she has only one knee pad and one elbow pad on opposite sides.

YAY, Amy! So proud of you! I'm very impressed that it only took 3 minutes! Wow!

yay! addie has been (not) wanting too ride a bike for a long time... we tried for 30 minutes yesterday and she still has an attitude about it! it sure makes a difference when the kid wants too!

Any rhyme or reason for the one elbow pad and knee pad?

Awesome. Love the elbow/knee pad. One cute kiddo!

And man, if you could bottle Amy's spunk and fearlessness...I'd buy some for my little princess. Who doesn't like princesses. At all.
