What happens while Mom changes a daiper...

Ian is too independent sometimes. Today I walked out of the girls' room after changing Kyra's diaper and found Ian with this...

Yep, that is Kool-aid Ian made himself and yes he is on my carpet. He had unlocked the pantry,(I don't think they make child proof latches that can keep Ian out) got the Kool-aid, found a pitcher, and mixed up some kool-aid sans sugar (thank heavens for small blessings)!

He was so proud of himself that I couldn't even be upset about the mess. It only took a few paper towels and a magic eraser (which I seriously have a year supply of...actually it would be a year supply for normal people, but I bet I need to replenish in a month!). I figure he can drink the colored water if he wants to because without the sugar I doubt Jared will touch it!

P.S. I'm really grateful that I took the extra time this morning to pray for a good day and a sense of humor! Ian has already showed me several of his activities that could have riled me up, but instead I'm thinking, "Wow, I'm really glad he isn't in school yet. I would miss out on some great laughs!" Scroll down to the next post for another Ian story...

I feel your pain. Yesterday my bubba found the scissors because he wanted me to make him some popcorn. Atleast it wasn't his hair. So here's my tip to childproof the pantry, key lock. Keeps others out too and helps with your diet if you hid it good. Also they make fridge locks too! If you need any advice call me. I am an expert!

Oh boy! He's a smart little cookie. He definately keeps you laughing. At least in retrospect.
