Sunday was the Primary program. It is the one Sunday a year that is presented entirely by the children 3 - 12 yrs. old. I love the beautiful music and simple messages. That would be wonderful by itself, but add to that the inevitable...children waving to parents, picking noses, forgetting lines, refusing to say lines they know, etc and you are now prepared to enjoy the BEST Sunday of the entire year.
Every year there is at least ONE KID who entertains the entire congregation with their antics. This year the child was a cute, blonde, five year old boy on the front row. Here are a few of the things he was doing...
1. He was using his Book of Mormon to hide his face, when that no longer got a reaction he began balancing it on his head! Oh, to have a camera in the chapel!! One of the Primary Presidency tried to take the BOM away, but the entertainer hid it under his chair.
2. Speaking of chairs, he used his to smoosh the row behind him and rock it like a rocking chair...
2. Then without the BOM he had to find something else. This is when he began pulling faces...fingers pulling lips apart, fishy faces, eyeball spreading, etc. He did this during songs, other kids lines. He was keeping people in stitches (except his Mom, of course)
3. When faces got boring he began trying to make faces on the kids sitting by him. Seriously, this really was happening.
4. Then they gave him a picture on a popsicle stick (that is like a license to misbehave)...more annoying of neighbors, some fanning of himself and the audience, etc.
Oh, you HAVE to love the Primary Program! Unless of course THAT KID happens to be YOUR KID!
Eric didn't stop goofing off even when I caught his eye (finally) and did the warning count on my fingers. You know LOTS of people will stop you after Sacrament meeting to comment on your kid's behavior when they do stuff like that on the stand! Thanks Eric for helping me to feel SO popular!

Oh I am so sorry. I am already getting my eyebrow raise perfected just in case it is my kid this year.
This will be Ellie's first year we will have to see if she can handle it.
I will have to say that I would have been laughing at him, and so glad that it was someone else's kid not mine.
Fun times don't ya think. That is when you say they are their fathers kids.
My hopes are that our ward doesn't invite the nursery up on stage for the primary program. The minute Savannah gets up there all hope is lost. Here's praying that we have another year before experiencing your drama piece by piece...
Eric?? He used to be so quiet. haha Gotta love it.
NO WAY?! Sweet little Eric? I'm telling ya, that mohawk gave him a whole new personality! That's hilarious...and I'm sure the other kids just loved having him try to make faces on them!
