The RETRO gift

This gift was originally destined for Uncle Mark or Uncle Brent. Gramma Buge (Jared's Gramma) couldn't remember which. It was lost in the depths of a closet until last week when Buge gifted it to Ian. How cool is HE-MAN?!? Ian loves it.

(Oh, and that isn't marker on Ian's face. He was running while looking behind him and ran into a chair)

the BEST gift

The best gift I received this year came from Tara.

She wrapped it herself.

Then it made me cry when I opened it.

The box was full of hearts with messages. I love the message that says "I'll be patient with you."

How thoughtful because I need all the patience she can give!

Christmas Wish List

Ian just informed me that he wants "a gun, a real gun" for Christmas. I promptly replied, "You'll shoot your eye out."

Warm, Happy Feelings.

While I was enjoying the warm, happy feeling that sorting laundry provides. Ian and Amy were enjoying the warm, happy feeling of unwrapping 2 of the 4 presents I managed to wrap last night.

weekend fun and iphones

Jared and I caught the Christmas spirit during our Carol of Lights weekend and treated the kids to an afternoon at Holland Gardens picking out Christmas ornaments for the year and visiting Santa. Yes, that was the best picture...jeez it is hard to get 5 kids looking at you at the same time.

We also treated them to a movie, in the theater. That is a BIG deal at our house because it has happened, counting Saturday, once. We saw Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa. If you ask the kids what movie they saw you will get that entire title. It was fun to have that experience as a family.

As the day was winding to a close, I asked Eric what his favorite part of the trip was. I'm expecting accolades for allowing him to go to the Carol of Lights, visit Santa, get a Christmas ornament, or watch a movie...in a theater no less. His answer:

"Playing on Uncle Brent's iphone. The car racing game is SOOO COOL!"

Nice, we could have done that for free!
