Princess Mommy

This was the best Mother's Day I have ever had, really I'm telling the truth. For starters I was commanded to stay in bed until Jared and the kids came and got me. It was so hard to lay in bed with all the commotion in the kitchen, but I managed to do it! The kids and Jared finally came in with breakfast in bed, calling me PRINCESS MOMMY, and carrying all my mother's day presents.

I got a beautiful bouquet of roses, a stuffed bear holding a box with chocolates in it, and most importantly a tiara and earrings. I was told as long as I wore the tiara and earrings that I didn't have to do any work for the day AND the kids couldn't fight. I bet you have never seen anyone (my age) so excited over wearing a tiara. I'm not kidding you when I say I literally wore that gift all day long.

I was the talk of church because I even wore it to all the meetings. However, I took it off for a few minutes in sacrament to try and distract Amy. It was a mistake too. It was utter chaos on the bench as I tried unsuccessfully to calm down Ian, Eric and Tara. (Jared had taken Amy out) The end result was undesirable...Eric and Tara in tears right before they were supposed to sing about how much they love me! Oh, well...I put that tiara back on in a hurry!

I was in charge of the Mother's day gifts and luncheon for all the women at church and that went really well. Preparing for the lunch was the only work I did all day.

Oh, one fast funny part of the day. Jared let me take a nap, during which I removed my tiara for comfort reasons only. When I woke up, I forgot to put my jewlery back on. I went out the the living room to join the family and Amy climbed up on my lap. Boy did she stink! I said something about her odor and Tara said, "Oh, mom you have to change her because you aren't wearing your crown." I ran to the other room, put my stuff on, and came back out to a fresh and clean baby!

It was fun being called PRINCESS MOMMY and treated like one too. Oh, sometimes Ian got confused and would call me PRINCESS WIFE! It was too cute!

That is the cutest idea ever. I especially like the "no fighting" rule. Very clever!

That is the BEST idea I've heard yet! I need someone to hint this gift for my husband for next year. He would never come up with it on his own.

I'm glad you had a great day!

That is awesome! I'm just sorry I missed seeing you in it at church:) You should tell Jared that this will need to become a tradition at your house so you can do it every year!
