Rain Gutter Regatta

Our family has started it's journey along the Boy Scout path. Sewing patches onto uniforms, pack meetings, and lost scout books are now part of the routine. There is something very scouty about making your own vehicle and then racing it. It is a rite of passage that is important in a little boy's life, and by golly it better go fast!

Eric came home from Scouts with his rain gutter regatta kit and literally asked to work on it every day until the competition. He was a sanding fiend. I was afraid he might sand it into oblivion.

He was so excited to take his finished product to the pack meeting.

The night of the event came and much fun was had.

Especially when they announced for Eric to come get his first place award!

Scouts can be so fun! Did he make the boat by himself?
