Halloween Pics

Please tell me you were making your kids Halloween costumes an hour before trick or treating...or maybe it's just me. I got my Dad's procrastination genes. It is a great quality to have. Really. It is. I tell myself that all the time. I also tell myself that about his premature gray gene that I also got. It's a good quality.

Ok, so on to what you really want to see...costumes.

Amy wanted to be the blue bird from the movie Rio.

Kyra wanted the same only pink, even though there are no pink birds in Rio.

Ian's costume is the one we were working on last minute. He was set on taking his robot generation 1, but I finally convinced him to create a generation 2. You see generation 1 had a blob of gum on the front with a cheerio in it (to make it smell good), arm holes about 3 times too big, a neck hole that was barely connected, and feathers glued inside and made almost 2 months ago and worn almost daily since then by Ian. It was in rough shape...not that there is anything wrong with that (said in Seinfeld's voice).

Eric was a rubic's cube.

Tara was being moody so the only picture of her is from the group shot.

My favorite part of the night was the girls' attempt (not the first one either) to fly by wildly flapping their arms. It didn't work. I blame the shoddy costumes that were only held together with feathers and hot glue.

Cute costumes! If we hadn't already had ours I would probably have been working on them an hour before trick-or-treating. As it was, Will wore last year's costume, and Kalena wore a princess dress that she's had for several months. Because I'm lazy.

Those bird costumes are the BOMB! I love them!! You did such a great job! All the kids look great. And, I got the gene for going grey prematurely too. It stinks.

As you well know, I loved all their costumes. Was the cube Eric's idea? Clever.
