When Tara found out that she had another sister there was screaming, jumping, and shrieking! She was so excited to hold Kyra. She took a copy of this picture to school the next day and proudly showed it to all of her teachers and friends.
Eric wasn't as happy with the news. He wanted to know why Kyra wasn't a boy. When he got his answer, he just restated, "but I wanted a boy." He and Ian didn't want to come to the hospital to see their "dumb sister". However, as soon as they walked into my room they couldn't stop talking about how pretty she was and how they loved her. It just took seeing her to convince them that she is a keeper.
Ian has been very protective of Kyra. If she happens to cry, Ian comes running to tell me that she needs me.
Amy is still a bit confused. I feel bad for her because she doesn't understand why someone else is being held instead of her.

Don't forget, the boys told us repeatedly-- I hate that new baby! And when Tara got home, Eric told her it was a girl and she looked to us for confirmation as if any minute he would say-- ha ha, just kidding! Once we confirmed she commenced with the screaming and jumping around.
She's so pretty and so little. You forget how small they are when they are born! She's a perfect addition to your family and I'm glad that the boys came around and decided she was a keeper!
Yay! Congratulations! I'm so happy for you guys. You have such adorable little kids - I can't wait to see what personality this cute little Kyra comes up with.
Look at those expressions! I don't think they could be any more proud of their new little sister! And check out Amy's hair...it's really coming in now, huh! Can't wait to meet sweet Kyra.

She is so cute. I love that the boys didn't want to see her. Poor Amy, that is a tough gig. I hope it doesn't take to long before she starts feeling so big now.
