In the last game of the season Eric did the impossible, he scored a goal!!! We were so proud of him and yelling so loud that I forgot to get a picture of his excitement. He was jumping up and down and yelling, "I got one, I got one!" The entire sideline was cheering (Eric was the only player left on the team who hadn't scored a goal this year and we all wanted that for him.) It felt like one big family cheering Eric on. We were really bummed that they called the game for thunder. Eric was playing so well! He had another shot bounce off the goal post and was super close to one more goal too!
Jared had to finally make good on his promise of paying a dollar for scoring a goal. Eric was also lucky enough to get a special Father-Son outing to the ice cream shop!
Since it was the last game of the season the team all got their trophies. Talk about a serious trophy, those things are huge!
Way to go Eric! We love watching you play soccer or at least getting to play in the soccer nets after the games are over!
