Morning Breath and Other Breath Stories

Practicing seeing her breath

First thing this morning Amy came up to me and said, "Mom, do you want to smell my breath?"
Having had the pleasure of smelling morning breath before, I politely declined. "Come on Mom! It smells like chocolate."

Oh brother!

Then a few nights later while getting pjs on, Amy commented that something smelled bad (it turned out to be her own hands). Then just as quickly she said, "Don't worry, I can fix that with my breath." Then she proceeded to do a fire breathing dragon impersonation. She was sure that her peppermint candy cane flavored breath would fix the problem, but alas we had to use soap.

Not long after this Amy was telling me a story, a very animated story. When she finished, she took a huge breath, then looked at me and explained, "When I talk too much I have to take a huge, deep breath."

Still not sure where the fascination came from, but we talk about breath a lot.

Tell Amy that when I talk a lot (or even just a little right now) I have to take lots of HUGE breaths too. :) She's so cute.
