We look forward to summer time all year long because we love being together and having the freedom to do what we want and be schedule free. Then about a week into the summer break we realize why a schedule is a good thing.
My realization came while breaking up Amy and Kyra's tug of war fight over a princess book, Tara's whining about there being nothing to do and everything is so boring, and Ian trying to super-glue his only trophy back together without parental supervision (side note: super glue and formica countertops aren't friends.)
I looked around thinking what in heaven's name is next?
Then Eric walked up to me, gave me a hug and this card.
Thank you, Eric. I think you're pretty out of this world too!

Schedules are a very good thing, as are sweet cards from the kids!
He's going to make a lucky girl very happy one day. Lucky for you, that girl right now is YOU! Such a sweetheart.
He sure lives up to the role he's been given as peacemaker, doesn't he? What a sweet guy.
