Another ER visit
Ian and Eric were wrestling, only Ian didn't know it. Eric yanked Ian's arm a little too hard and we ended up with another reason to visit a medical professional. Ian couldn't bend his elbow or rotate his hand and was in obvious pain. I splinted his arm as best he would let me and off to the doctor.
I took him to an urgent care center who refused to treat anything that required reduction of a fracture. So we went home, iced it, and saw an orthopedic the next morning.
After some x-rays to verify nothing was broken the doctor concluded that he had a nurse maid's elbow. An easy way to say he had a partial dislocation of the elbow. The doctor held his elbow and twisted Ian's hand and POP back in place. He was bouncing back around like normal.

So sorry Ian! Brothers can be rough sometimes :) I just love Amy's face in the background. It kind of says, "I told you so!" haha
That is so painful! I did that to Madeleine's elbow when she was about 1. She screamed and screamed until the dr popped it back into place. Too bad the urgent care place didn't take care of it. Such a simple fix for such a painful thing. Glad he is doing better and nothing more serious!
did they at least give him drugs?
I love how Amy totally photo bombed.
Poor little guy...hope he feels better now. I'm impressed with your splint.
I agree with Brian! I can't look at that picture without cracking up at Amy's photobomb!
Could Amy be any cuter?!? Glad Ian's arm is okay.
I wonder where the term "nursemaid's elbow" came from...
