Eric turned 7 years old on Saturday.
He wanted a bow and arrow for his birthday and spent a big chunk of his day shooting arrows at a X carved into the fence. It was fun to watch.
A little tidbit about Eric. When I told Jared we needed to have another baby Tara was only 9 or 10 months old and Jared thought I was crazy. Really, really crazy. I couldn't shake the impression; I knew we needed another baby. Eric was born when Tara was just 19 mos old, and it was perfect. You know why? Eric brings peace and calmness wherever he goes. He can crack a joke that changes the mood in the room from over-the-top tension to happiness with complete ease. He is the reason why I can calm down and be a good mom. I am so thankful for the inspiration to have Eric. His talent for helping me and others chill out has been a true blessing in our home.
Oh, and he is funny and smart and kind and perfect...most of the time.
