Cow the Cat

We have a strict no pet policy at our house. I figure I have enough kids to take care of; I don't need an animal too.

That being said, what do you do when an animal adopts you? Cow the Cat (as named on her tags) has done just that. She hangs out around the house, she's been found in the garage, and today she was bold enough to come in the house. Don't tell Jared. He would go BALLISTIC.

I think Ian is her favorite. That cat is so sweet she puts up with anything. I wonder if there is a little boy missing her? If there is, he probably isn't missing her now. I just went outside to call the kids in for dinner, and the neighbor girl and Tara were trying to give Cow a bath in a rubbermaid tub. Poor cat.

Our one, and only dog, adopted us. My brother had been begging for a dog for years with no luck. My mom went on her first MoTab Choir tour and specifically told my dad, "don't let the kids talk you into getting a dog." The very next day, this dog shows up at our house. He doesn't go away, day after day. By the time my mom got home, we'd named him and made him part of the family. (It turned out that my dad had been feeding him all along. No wonder he never wanted to leave!!!)

She sounds like the perfect pet! You don't have to pay for vet bills, worry about food and water, scoop a litter box or clean up cat hair! Can we clone her?

We had a sweet orange cat adopt us last year. We didn't want any pets either, but we felt so sorry for her when we could count her ribs, so I caved and started feeding her (much to my husbands dismay!). It got to the point that she almost never left our yard and often came inside for long visits. During the winter, she practically lived in our garage since we put her food in there and she used the little doggy door. My kids absolutely adored her and she let Jackson do everything to her without ever seeming to mind. She just loved our family! Then, about two months ago she just disappeared and we have missed her so much since...even my husband! Funny how now we can't stop looking for that little cat that we never wanted in the first place! Beware....Cow might just steal all of your hearts too! :)

This is where it all begins

You secretly adore that cat! ;) It is pretty funny that it's been hanging around for so long and you haven't called the number on the tag :) haha You know it's just because it keeps Ian occupied! Just admit it! :) At least I get a good chuckle out of it!

When we were little we adopted many a stray cat and didn't tell out parents. We would open cans of Tuna Fish and put it out for the cat. No cat will ever leave you when your feeding it tuna. Good luck, don't worry I won't tell Jared. Jeron would go bonkers as well. He would know though cause he is allergic.
