I might just pull an all nighter...

I made a goal of doing some new things this year to challenge me and help me grow.

I convinced my mom to come visit for a few days and be my coach/teacher while I worked on one of them, a dress for Tara to wear to Brent's wedding. It looks like this. I'll post pictures of mine in a day or two when it is finished. It is really close to being done and is very beautiful.

I've been working on it all day for 3 days. Since a lot of my time and concentration has been required, my little kids have been running wild.

I knew I had to put the sewing away for a while when I found a half eaten quesadilla in my shoe, play-do under the couch, and more laundry than I want to think about. Maybe I'll pull an all nighter this weekend so I can get it done...

OH! I've seen that dress pattern before flipping through the pattern books, and it is one of my most favorites! I'm so excited for Tara...she is going to look beautiful. I can't wait to see what the finished product looks like!!!!!!

That pattern is adorable! You'll have to let me know how it all goes.

How beautiful. Seems we have a common new goal. It's actually kind of comforting and inspiring to see someone else approaching such a seemingly complicated pattern at a beginners level; I have something a little ambitious in the works for Logan- we'll see how it turns out! Anyway, good luck, Tara will look lovely.

You go girl! I think it's great that you are sewing, you can give me some pointers soon! But I wouldn't want you to get sick because of it. Save it for after spring break and I will take your younger kids so you can sew all day long! Then you won't get suprises in your shoes or under your couch. Oh, but you would have to come for the baby to be fed. Maybe I should just come to your house.....am I rambling? haha
