Lubbock Trip

We went up to Lubbock in the middle of the week because Kyra had an appointment with a specialist there.

It was nice to see the fam. I can't believe that I haven't been in Lubbock since July! Wow, I miss those people. We all ate lunch together at Mark and Catherine's before we headed home.

Did you know that you can get lost in Lamesa? I didn't know that was possible either. There is a short cut that we always take. When I drove down the short cut, I found that it was blocked off for a cross country race. Fortunately (do you hear the sarcasm) there was a detour sign marked. Unfortunately it led down a road that turned into dirt and then went passed the city of Lamesa's water sanitation site. This is where I found a utility crew (who I'm certain thought I was crazy). They told me how to get off the dirt road (in my mini van full of kids) and how to find the road I was supposed to be on. What a mess!
