Soccer Party

Eric's soccer team had their end of year party with the Rockhounds, a minor league baseball team here in Midland. It was "really fun" in Eric's words. Each spotlighted team got to go on the field to meet the players. Then their name and what team they played on was called as their picture was shown on the megatron screen. ERIC SHANNON OF TUFF STUFF!
The really cool part was being assigned to a Rockhounds player and getting to run out on the field with them. Eric got to run to 2nd base (He is number 21). Then they stood with their player during the singing of the national anthem.

We got pictures of the team with Juice the Moose

And with Rockie.

Of course the best part was running around with all his friends, plus as much food as you could eat/carry. Eric loved getting as many chips and popcorn bags as he could eat and drink Sprite (a big treat in our house!) We enjoyed watching the game as a family even though "the home team" lost!

How fun is that. I love it. Emma gets to stand with the Bees (Utah Minor league team) during the Nation Anthem in July. She is pretty excited about it.
