Pet Peeves

Ok, so I have a few pet peeves. I'm sure most everyone does. One of my newest is when people park their cars in front of the fire hydrant at our side yard. I have a whole new respect for our emergency service personnel after using their services (thanks Amy), and want to make their jobs easier. Anyway, I have mentioned a few times in the car that those people need to move their cars and stop blocking the fire hydrant, sometimes in an annoyed tone I'm sure!

So the last time I said it Tara replied, "Maybe we should do what the song says." I literally had no idea what she was talking about. "What do you mean, Tara," I asked. To which she sang...not just said the following, "I dug my keys into to the side of his pretty little souped-up four wheel drive. Carved my name into his leather seats. Took a Louisville slugger to both headlights. Slashed a hole in all four tires!"

Thanks Carrie Underwood!

Isn't it great the things they learn? And then want to apply it?

And I agree with the pet peeves, too. I wouldn't feel bad about the irritated tones. Sometimes people need to feel bad about what they are doing. So go on and continue to defend our hard working emergency workers. Someone needs to remember them.

I totally love how Tara always has something great to say! Your kids are too quick! If it keeps happening, have Tara write a note and leave it one the windshield :) Good luck with that one!

LOL Let Tara know that I totally love that song. I sing it so loud. I thought for sure it was going to be like Love at home or something putting you in your place. I love that she was just as fired up as you.

That is too funny! You don't know when they are listening. Zach said he doesn't like Pina Coladas or getting stuck in the rain. I never knew!

Have I ever parked there? I never noticed a fire hydrant in front of your house. Maybe the sidewalk needs to be painted red.
