Amy's 1st Birthday

We finally celebrated Amy's first birthday almost 2 weeks late. I promised Tara then Eric and Ian we wouldn't do cake and presents until everyone was well enough to enjoy it. It took two weeks for the flu to make it through all of the kids. Thankfully Amy didn't care what day we celebrated.

For her birthday, Amy got a spoon and a fork and a little purse from her siblings. (You can totally tell she is the 4th kid when you see the receipt total for those purchases...50 CENTS. I got them in the 75% off bins of Target's dollar section.) Funny thing about one year olds is they latch onto the strangest things. Only the spoon and fork would do for Amy. She just wanted to walk around the living room and bang them together! Amy also got a swing for the tree in our front yard. I'm looking forward to letting her swing in it while her siblings ride bikes around the cul-de-sac.

She really enjoyed her cake and we had a good time being together as a healthy family!

What on earth are you asking me to do your cakes for? Amy's cake looks professionally done! Anyway, great blog. I love it. Love Aunt Marj
